Material Required to Make Hot pad
The following things will be needed to make your hot pad for dining table

Two pieces of fabric, preferably cotton (10" X 10" pieces of fabric)

Two pieces of batting for hot pad (10" X 10" pieces of batting)

Sewing machine
-
Needle
-
Matching threads
-
Scissors
-
Pins
Step-by-Step Instructions to Make Hot pad
These are the steps that you must follow to make your dining table pad

Take the two batting pieces of fabric and place them on a flat surface.

Now place both the hot pad fabric pieces on top of the batting. Keep the right sides of both the hot pad fabric together.

Take the pins and attach them all around, pinning through all the four layers (two batting and two table pad pieces) of the hot pad. Take care to leave an opening of about 3 to 4 inches so that you can turn the hot pad around after stitching it.

Stitch around the hot pad. Use the pressure foot as your guide.

With the help of scissors, clip the corners of the stitched hot pad to give it a smooth finished edges.

Now turn the hot pad to right sides through the opening you left while stitching.

With the help of scissors, push out the corners of the table pad to make it square and smooth.

Iron the new kitchen hod pad.

Hand stitch to close the opening.
If you want a quilted table pad, just machine stitch in desirable patterns through all the four layers of fabric. Your hot pad for dining table is ready to be used.
